Professor Green has mocked Amber Davies after she shared a selfie in front of what looked like white powder.

The Love Island champion was pictured in front of a mirror alongside bottles of champagne, what appeared to be a white substance, a credit or debit card and a rolled up bank note as she partied after this year's National Television Awards.

Davies denied ever doing drugs and swiftly deleted the image – but Green was keen to remind her of her “rookie mistake”.

The rapper mocked Davies as he served up some advice on how to take a picture for Instagram.

He wrote: “PJ gang. If you don’t wear PJs, buy some and wear them. Then you can be in PJ Gang.

“Also, when taking and uploading pics, don’t leave rolled up notes and what looks like packet you’ve used your driving license to crush up on the table @amb_d #rookiemistakeoftheyear.”

Davies said she was “devastated” at the prospect of fans thinking she is a drug user, claiming she is a “normal girl” who would never do anything to let her “amazing family” down.

In a statement on Twitter she wrote: “There have been a lot of stories around this afternoon and I just want to set the record straight. I was completely naive to what was lying on the table in front of me.

“I don’t know for sure what it was, but I do know what it looks like, and I am devastated.

“I have never and would never take drugs. That is not who I am. I’m fully aware that my supporters look up to me and the last thing I want is for people to think this is the type of thing I’d do.

“I’m a normal girl with an amazing family and I would never let them down like that.”
