Sarah Harding has said Cheryl Fernandez-Versini will “bounce back” as she addressed reports that the X Factor judge has split from Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.

It was recently reported that Cheryl is preparing to divorce Jean-Bernard after just 19 months of marriage because of his "unreasonable behaviour".

Harding revealed on Loose Women that she has reached out to Cheryl in the wake of the claims.

She said: “I dropped her a text, but Cheryl is a strong girl, she’ll bounce back, she always does.”

Speaking about the French restaurateur, she continued: “I met him a couple of years ago on Xtra Factor. He seemed nice enough. I didn’t know them very well as a couple, but he was always there.”

Although the couple have yet to address the reports, a source told The Sun that a divorce is imminent.

“[Cheryl] pretended everything was OK on the [X Factor] live shows but was hurting inside," they told the publication. "The minute the show as over she told her lawyers to get to work.”

The pair married in a small ceremony on Mustique in the Caribbean in August 2014, just three months after they met in Cannes, France.

They were last seen together at Ant and Dec’s 40th birthday party in November 2015.

It will be Fernandez-Versini's second divorce after she and footballer Ashley Cole separated in 2010.
