Emma Thompson really doesn’t care about the Royal Wedding.

The actress shut down a reporter who questioned her on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s upcoming nuptials, saying she has “nothing to say” about the big day in Windsor.

Asked how she feels about the wedding, she told Sky News: “Not a single thought in my head to share about it with you I’m so sorry. It doesn’t occur to me actually.

“My son is getting married next year so I’m much more dealing with that. Really I have nothing to say about it.”

The reporter then asked if she wished the young couple well to which she replied: “Obviously, yes, but I don’t know them. Of course I do.”

She then snapped at the reporter for continuing to push her, telling him: “Stop it. Just stop it. Stop doing the ‘ooh let’s talk about the Royal Wedding’. Really bad.”

The video was recorded in late March while Thompson was promoting the new BBC adaptation of King Lear, but has only just surfaced.

Prince Harry and Ms Markle will tie the knot at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on Saturday in front of 600 guests while 2,640 members of the public have been invited to watch the couple arrive.

Celebrity guests confirmed to attend include David and Victoria Beckham and actress Priyanka Chopra.

Other famous faces rumoured to attend include Sir Elton John, George and Amal Clooney, Ellie Goulding and members of the Spice Girls.

It is unclear who will walk Ms Markle down the aisle after it was claimed her father Thomas Markle Sr suffered a heart attack six days ago amid accusations he had staged paparazzi shots.

Her mother Doria Ragland is most likely to stand in for her ex-husband.
