Taylor Swift is reportedly getting serious about boyfriend Joe Alwyn and thinks that he could be 'the one' to settle down with.

The pair, who have been dating since May 2017, are said to be 'more serious than ever', according to new reports in the US.

A source told Us Weekly: “Taylor really believes Joe is the one for her. She wants to get engaged to him. She just doesn’t feel as though she has to impress anyone at this point.

“This is the first time she’s kept the guy private. She really likes Joe. She wants to keep her personal life separate from her work life.”

And the report also claimed Alwyn was similarly happy with his romance with the Shake It Off singer.

The insider added: “Joe feels privileged that he gets to be with Taylor. And he is happy being out of the spotlight.”

Standard Online have contacted representatives for Swift and Alwyn for comment.

Listeners were quick to speculate that the song is about the beginning of her relationship with Alwyn as she sings: “This ain’t for the best / My reputation’s never been worse, so / You must like me for me.”

She also dances in front of a sign reading “Joe’s Deli” and appears to reference Alwyn’s appearance, singing: “Oh damn, never seen that colour blue."
