Efron, who is currently on the promo tour for new film We Are Your Friends, is yet to confirm or deny his involvement with the project.

Horrible Bosses director Seth Gordon has recently signed on to the film, with production thought to start in February next year.

The plot will reportedly centre on Johnson’s character, a straight-laced lifeguard, who teams up with Efron’s renegade youngster.

Efron is currently in London to promote Warner Bro’s DJ drama, written and directed by Max Joseph.
