Tom Hardy has honoured his wager with Leonardo DiCaprio by getting a tattoo of the Oscar-winner's name on his arm.

The British star made a bet with DiCaprio that he wouldn't receive an Oscar nomination for his role in The Revenant, agreeing to get a tattoo of the actor's choosing.

Hardy revealed their wager in an interview with Esquire, saying: “He wrote, in this really sh**** handwriting: ‘Leo knows everything.’

“I was like, ‘OK, I’ll get it done, but you have to write it properly’.”

The actor lost the bet after being nominated alongside Mark Ruffalo, Sylvester Stallone, Mark Rylance and Christian Bale back in 2016.

Fast forward two years and Hardy has proved he is a man of his word by getting the inking “Leo knows all” on his right bicep.

A picture of Hardy flashing his new tattoo was shared on Instagram alongside the caption: “Captured a couple Pictures for @tomhardy today. Fingers crossed he posts them. Regardless here’s an obligatory selfie.”

One user commented: “F***! Did You notice the ‘Leo knows...’ tattoo on his bicep? Wasn't that the bet? (sic).”

Hardy and DiCaprio played fur trappers and traders in Alejandro González Iñárritu’s semi-biographical epic.

Hardy missed out on the Oscar to Bridge of Spies star Rylance, but DiCaprio was honoured with the Best Actor gong for his role as Hugh Glass.

Iñárritu was also recognised, fighting off competition to be crowned Best Director.
