'We’re overjoyed': Katherine Jenkins reveals that she’s pregnant with baby boy

Katherine Jenkins has revealed that she is pregnant with her second child, two years after giving birth to daughter Aaliyah.

The Welsh soprano, 37, and husband Andrew Levitas, 40, revealed the news in an adorable Instagram post on Tuesday, confirming that they are expecting a baby boy.

Saying that she is “overjoyed” that their family is growing, the opera singer shared a picture of her daughter wearing a superhero cape, under the caption: “Sidekick coming soon.”

She wrote: “Andrew and I are overjoyed that our family will be growing in 2018 with the addition of our second child - a baby brother for our little superhero Aaliyah!!!”

Jenkins recently told Hello magazine that she was keen to expand her brood so that Aaliyah could have a sibling.

“It's all about timing, but I would really love to have a second child and for Aaliyah to have a sibling, to have a friend in the world,” she said.

“My husband and I love being parents and Aaliyah makes us so happy. She's fun, kind and affectionate - and a mummy's girl.”

Back in 2016, she told the Sun: “We definitely want another child. There’s no ovulation charts on the wall or anything...not yet anyway...but that’s because I’m about to go on tour.

“But we hope we will be lucky enough to have a second child.”
