Sharon Osbourne has said she “adores” her husband Ozzy Osbourne, despite his infidelity.

Ozzy, 71, hit the headlines in May when it was reported he had had a six month affair with hairdresser Michelle Pugh.

But Sharon – who married the singer in 1982 and has three children Aimee, 33, Kelly, 31, and Jack, 30, with him – said the tumultuous period following the news has brought her family closer together.

“I adore Ozzy,” she told The Sun, before explaining how she had tried to keep calm during the fallout.

"I am trying to learn [not to get so angry]- I try to not let things faze me,” she said. “Before I was like [she makes a loud roar], 'How dare they this and how dare they that.'

"I was riled up at the slightest thing and then you realise as you get older that all these things aren't really important."

Speaking about what is important to her now she said: “My family, my doggy, my grandkids. I love my grandkids, you get a second bite you know with your grandkids, it’s a gift. I love them to death.”

Sharon's comments come weeks after she opened up about her recent breakdown which saw her admitted to hospital.

She took a five week break from CBS show The Talk in spring 2015 when her brain "shut down" due to over exertion and she was left unable to speak or think.

Speaking on The Talk she said: “It’s hard enough surviving in this world anyway, but when you take on too much – I was doing too much of everything, thinking that I’m Superwoman, I’m super strong, I can handle this, I can handle that. It just fused, my brain just totally fused.”

Sharon is currently appearing on the latest series of The X Factor alongside Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger and Robbie Williams, who she has recruited to help her whittle down the Over 25s at Judges' Houses.
