Forbes magazine has named Hong Kong action film star Jackie Chan as one of the 10 most generous celebrities, placing him alongside U2's Bono, talk show host Oprah Winfrey and actress Angelina Jolie.

Forbes said on its website that Chan, 52, gave £36,000 to help Asian tsunami victims and £56,000 to a Los Angeles-based charity for the homeless.
