‘Delicious’ Sophie Dahl is back with Beeton

Sophie Dahl's cookery show, The Delicious Miss Dahl, was panned by the critics, with one branding it a "sickening sham".

But the former model is set to recreate the recipes from a Victorian cook book for a new programme on BBC2 next year. Dahl will present a documentary on Mrs Beeton's Book Of Household Management, published in 1861.

She said: "I have been a long-time devotee of Mrs Beeton and leapt at the chance to learn more about her."
