Country singer Dolly Parton has revealed that she wants to make a dance album for all of her gay fans.

Dolly recently drew in the biggest crowd that Glastonbury Festival has ever seen with her country classics when she performed on the pyramid stage earlier this year, despite claims that she was miming.

In a move away from the country jingle of her hit songs Jolene and 9 to 5 the singer wants to try a new sound so there is a bit of Dolly for everyone to love.

The Islands in the Stream singer said that she already has “several songs that are very positive towards the gay community”.

She added: “I have a song called Just A Wee Bit Gay. It’s a great little dance tune, it’s funny and it’s got a lot of comic in it."

“I do write a lot of songs along those lines with people that are different and are just themselves.”
