Gemma Owen is set to star in another reality series which will follow the lives of footballers’ daughters.

The 19-year-old will let cameras into her life as she navigates her own path away from being known just as the daughter of ex England player Michael Owen.

The Sun revealed that Owen has been headhunted by Lime Productions to feature on the new show along with fellow footballer’s daughter Bianca Gascoigne, and there will most likely be an appearance from Owen’s boyfriend Luca Bish also.

Bish recently treated Owen to a lavish proposal as he asked her to be his girlfriend following their romance on Love Island.

While the couple insisted it was romantic, a source has since claimed that Owen actually found it “uncomfortable”.

Now the proposal might appear on Owen’s new show as an insider said: “This new series is being billed as a one-of-a-kind show which will reveal what it is really like to be the daughter of a famous football star.

“Lime are developing the concept now and ITV have shown a real interest in it. Gemma is top of their casting wish list.

"Her dad Michael is one of England’s most famous footballing stars and given her huge popularity since she appeared on Love Island – she is the person they want signed up.”

They continued: “The series will follow the women’s daily lives and will look at the highs and lows of being related to a footballer.

“It will see them following their dreams away from the football pitch and will show the barriers they face when trying to make a name for themselves.

“Anyone who thinks being a footballer’s daughter is an easy ride is in for a shock.”

Bish’s proposal to Owen was shared by the pair on Instagram at the end of August and saw a corridor lined with rose petals and candles leading to a swimming pool decorated the same way as Bish popped the quesiton.

While the couple coined the proposal “special”, a source said Owen found the extravagance of it rather “uncomfortable”, as they told OK!: “She played along as she could see how much effort he’d gone to but it made her uncomfortable.

“She was never keen on PDAs in the villa and she wished he’d kept it private rather than plaster it all over Instagram. It’s making her nervous about their future.”
