Glastonbury Festival organisers have come up with a novel way to party through the night - and keep the noise down.

This year revellers in the dance tent will be given "silent disco" headsets so they can keep dancing and not break the midnight noise curfew.

Thousands of clubbers will dance to world-famous DJs at the Somerset event - from June 24 to 26 - but all the neighbours will hear is the sound of shuffling feet.

After the noise curfew comes into force the music will stop being pumped out of the 15ft speaker stacks and will be transmitted directly to the headsets.
