After the misery of the Ashes, it’s little wonder Kevin Pietersen fancied a bit of fun. The England cricketer put his woes behind him as he larked around on Bondi Beach with his wife Jessica Taylor and their son Dylan, three.

The 33-year-old batsman splashed around in the sea, lifting Dylan high into the air and burying him the sand. Taylor, a model and former member of Liberty X, soaked up the sun in a red strapless bikini.

Pietersen was having a better time than many England fans, who are struggling to get over the team’s dismal performance. They lost the fifth Test in Sydney at the weekend, completing Australia’s 5-0 whitewash.
