Peaches Geldof has hit back at claims her wedding to Max Drummey was a publicity stunt — saying she did it for love.

She also denied her marriage in Las Vegas last August had angered her father, Bob Geldof.

"Some people think we married as an attention-seeking or publicity thing, but I wouldn't do something like that," Peaches, 19, told Hello! "My husband and I got married because we are in love."

However, the couple will be spending Christmas with their own families.
