Hosted by London's Chinese community, this weekend festival is part of the V&A's newly opened Encounters exhibition, tracing design and social influences sparked by the opening of an East-West trade route in the 16th century.

Highlights are the Lion Dance (Sat 25 Sep, 2pm-2.30pm) and Shaolin Kung Fu (Sun 26 Sep, 2pm-3pm). You can also hear music, join family workshops and watch craft demos.

Victoria And Albert Museum, Cromwell Road, SW7 (020-7942 2000). Sat 25 & Sun 26 Sep, 1pm, free. www.vam.ac.uk
