Kate Moss was set to marry today in a village church - and then live it up in typical showbiz style with a £500,000 reception.

The supermodel, 37, will tie the knot with the Kills guitarist Jamie Hince in a 12th-century church near her Cotswolds home, wearing a dress by shamed designer John Galliano.

Despite her hedonistic image, the Rev Harry MacInnes, who will perform the ceremony, insists that, for Moss, "God is a large part of her life".

The vicar said: "Kate goes most Sundays to church when she's here and she's not the crazy party girl everyone thinks. She likes to be involved in the community and church plays an important role in her life."

Security fences have been erected round Moss's £2 million country estate but reports today claimed the 400 guests would include Primal Scream singer Bobby Gillespie, Dame Vivienne Westwood and Topshop boss Sir Philip Green. Royal photographer Mario Testino and fashion designer Stella McCartney are also believed to be on the guest list.

They are expected to dine on a lavish menu prepared by chefs from China Tang restaurant in Park Lane's Dorchester hotel, with Beth Ditto, Shirley Bassey and Snoop Dogg all rumoured to have been lined up to provide the entertainment.

The three-day celebration will have a burlesque theme and be set in six giant marquees.

Moss's eight-year-old daughter Lila, who she had with Jefferson Hack, will be chief bridesmaid.

Sadie Frost's four children are expected to be the other bridesmaids and ushers. Reports suggest Hince has made band member Alison Mosshart his "best woman".

According to The Times, Moss, who met The Kills guitarist in 2007, will take her vows in St Margaret's Parish Church, close to her home in the village of Little Faringdon, near Lechlade.
