Minnie Driver is eagerly waiting the arrival of her first child, but there's another project keeping her busy in the meantime - her country music career.

The actress turned singer took to the stage at the Arts Theater in London's Leicester Square for a low-key gig to promote her second album, Seastories.

According to People magazine, she told the crowd: "This is for all the pregnant ladies in the house... for anyone else who's knocked up."

The 38-year-old has previously admitted her pregnancy was unplanned and has so far refused to be drawn on the father's identity.

She said: "Craig's not the dad! He's my great friend and he's been so cool about it. I want to shield the baby's dad as much as I can because it wasn't his choice to get roped into all this stuff.

"It'll come out in time and there'll be some other bump people will be interested in and I'll have this baby and get on with my life."

She has hinted that he is English, and "sort of in the same business."
