Ne-Yo is "nervous" about fatherhood.

The 'Beautiful Monster' singer is to become a parent with Monyetta Shaw in January and he admits he is excited about the baby, but is also wary of taking on so much responsibility.

He said: "I'm so excited and nervous. It's amazing - I'm bringing another life into the world. But at the same time, I'm like, 'Oh c**p, I'm responsible for another human being.'

"I don't even buy my own underwear, where am I going to find his?

"But I'm so looking forward to it."

The singer also spoke of his desire to get married, but admits he can't see it happening any time soon.

He told more magazine: "One day I'll marry. No time soon though. I feel like that's so important in life. Finding that one person who makes your life complete.

"But it's so difficult in my line of work to find someone who wants me for the right reasons.

"At some point I'd love a big wedding. My mum would never let me have a small one. It would have to be the biggest, most extravagant thing to ever happen to me."

Despite expecting a baby with Monyetta, Ne-Yo recently insisted she isn't his girlfriend.

He said: "I have a friend. Not a girlfriend. She's carrying my child but knows I can't commit. She doesn't mind other women."
