Renee Zellweger is certainly generous when it comes to spending her fortune – she even splashes out on complete strangers.
The Bridget Jones star, was shopping in Barneys department store in New York when she spotted a sales assistant looking at the Manolo Blahnik shoe collection while on her lunch break.
"The girl, from the Bobbi Brown make-up counter, was admiring the shoes," says my Stateside shopper.
"Renee was looking at the same pair and they commented on how beautiful they were. But the sales girl said there was no way she could afford them."
Later that afternoon the store manager came to the girl's counter with a giftwrapped box containing the shoes and a note from 38-year-old Renee, saying:
"You had to have them! Renee." How touching.
