Serena Williams revealed she and husband Alexis Ohanian are expecting a baby girl with a drone display.

The tennis champ, 41, shared a six-minute long video to YouTube on Monday which documented her preparation for her “baby shower slash gender reveal” party.

Before learning she was having another girl, the athlete admitted she was “Team Pink”, adding that she was “unprepared” if it was to be revealed that she was having a son.

She shared in the vlog’s opening moments: “I’m nervous because I don’t have any contingency plan if he turns out to be a boy. I’m very excited. I’m a little nervous.”

Williams then explained how their five-year-old daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., has been excited about the party all day long and has been trying to get them to travel early to the party.

Later, viewers watch as the trio arrive at the party, where friends and family have gathered around to learn of the little one’s gender, which Ohanian announced will be unveiled with a cake.

However, not all was what it seemed as the Reddit co-founder playfully revealed that he had planned to prank Williams and their daughter by turning the colour of the cake yellow.

He explained: “This cake is as basic of a gender reveal idea I could come up with inside. It’s yellow.

“I’m doing this because I want to troll her and Olympia into thinking that this is the reveal... She will cut into this cake and probably be disappointed and hopefully, hopefully, appreciate the troll, but we’ll see.”

Soon after cutting the cake, Williams realises what her husband has done and playfully attempts to smash the slice she cut into his face at the bash which saw her sister Venus and dad Richard in attendance.

Following the prank, the couple pulled out the stops to announce the gender of their baby with a drone light show, which lit up the night sky with an arrangement that read “Girl!”

Williams raised both of her arms in the air in celebration as Ohanian exclaimed, “It’s a girl! It’s a girl!”.

The couple tied the knot in November 2017, just a few months after welcoming Olympia in September 2017.

Williams announced she was having her second child back in May when she showed off her blossoming bump at the Met Gala.

She later confirmed the news in a post shared to her Instagram, writing, “Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the 3 of us to the Met Gala.”
