Fans of Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian queued from 4am this morning to catch the American TV reality stars launching their new clothing line at Westfield.

The trio are due to launch the Kardashian Kollection exclusively through Dorothy Perkins.

But thousands of fans were left disappointed after arriving on time only to find that wristbands letting fans into the shopping centre had been given out early.

The Kardashian's website had said: "To be eligible for an autograph you must collect a wristband from Westfield London... wristbands will be distributed from 9.00 am."

While the Westfield website's warning that overnight camping was not "recommended" was largely ignored by many.

The fans took to Twitter to complain with @amberstylesss, posting: "So annoyed that Westfields decided to give out wristbands early."

Later the Kardashian's posted on their website: "We’ve already had such an amazing response to our signing at Westfield London today and are so excited to see everyone!

"We can’t believe how many incredible fans are waiting outside (several thousand!) In order to keep everyone safe, Westfieldhad to action a contingency plan for those who stood in line overnight and allowed those people to stay in the carpark.

"Anyone not already there is of course still welcome to come out today, but I wanted to send a personal message to make sure everyone stays safe!"

But many ordinary shoppers also vented their fury after discovering the centre closed for the event.

Matt Gooderick, writing as @MattGooders said: "So just popped to Westfield to buy a birthday present only to find its shut cos the appearance of something called the Kardashians has caused over-crowding.

"Has this country gone mad? 100s of police in attendance. What a waste of public money."
