Kylie Minogue joined her younger sister Dannii on stage in her first public appearance since being diagnosed with breast cancer.

The 38-year-old marked her comeback with a surprise duet at GAY nightclub in London.

Dannii, 34, was promoting her Greatest Hits album when she prompted Kylie, who was watching from the club's VIP section, to join her singing Jump To The Beat.

A visibly moved Kylie received a thunderous applause when she walked on stage on Saturday night.

'I couldn't let this occasion go by without coming here to support my sister,' she told the audience. 'I was doing my best to stop the tears, it was definitely a special moment.'

Kylie was diagnosed with breast cancer during a visit to Melbourne in May last year and immediately cancelled the remaining dates of her Showgirl tour.

Although she has been seen with French boyfriend Olivier Martinez, Minogue has kept a low profile.

But the pop singer is recording a new album in London at the moment and has been tipped to headline next year's Glastonbury Festival.

Last week she was voted Woman of the Year by Glamour magazine.
