Losing four stone in just eight months was hard work for Natalie Cassidy, but keeping it off is proving the greatest challenge.

The former EastEnders star was spotted gazing longingly at a jar of calorific cookies during an outing with her rumoured fiancé  Ben Porter, 40, in London this week.

And while she managed to resist temptation this time around - opting instead for just a coffee - it appears she's not always quite so strong.

The 24-year-old, who has reportedly been in tears over her recent weight gain, did her best to hide her extra curves with loose fitting black pants and a cotton top.

Natalie, who's fitness DVD was a Christmas best-seller, has previously admitted that keeping her once trim physique was a nightmare, requiring daily 2 hour work out sessions.

A friend recently told Closer magazine: 'Natalie says the weight loss was too good to be true. She had a dream body she couldn't maintain.

'She spent last weekend in tears about putting on weight.

'All that hard work has gone. It took months to lose it and weeks to put it back on.

Struggle: Natalie, pictured right in February, has found it difficult to keep the weight off after getting down to a Size 8

'She feels embarrassed. She didn't want to be one of those celebs who made a DVD and then stopped practising what they preached.'

Natalie, who is 5ft 4, got down to 8 stone 1 lb after tipping the scales at 12 stone by radically altering her eating habits.

She said at the time: 'It's all about moderation.

'I'm a perfectionist and now I've got the hourglass figure I've always wanted. When I say I'm going to do something I do it.'
