Susanna Reid was reportedly left embarrassed on the set of Good Morning Britain this week, after errors made by the show’s production team.

The presenter, 52, was said not to be happy following mistakes made, including wrong dates and spelling slip-ups, which filtered through to the live shows, and “made her feelings really clear” on set.

A source told The Sun: “[Susanna] made her feelings very clear, and confronted the senior executives over it.”

Piers Morgan left GMB in 2021 following a debate on the show. He had hosted with Reid up until his exit.

Several blunders have been made on GMB in recent weeks, one of which was the misspelling of broadcaster Ben Chapman’s name, which was written onscreen as ‘Ben Champan’, as he reported live from Romania.

A mistake was also made during a segment on the death of Lisa Marie Presley as the word ‘remembering’ was incorrectly spelt as ‘Remebring’ on a graphic displayed.

Viewers also recently called out a missing poster GMB made for rugby player Levi Simeon Davis, who disappeared last October, with the wrong year printed on it.

“Your poster shown on this morning’s news for the missing male is wrong check the date it’s showing October 2023 #GMB,” said one spectator.

Reid’s reported issue on GMB comes after her co-host Richard Madeley made an error himself earlier this week.

In discussing the singer Sam Smith, who goes by they/them pronouns, Madeley incorrectly referred to the artist as “him”.

After Reid pointed out Madeley’s mistake he apologised. The co-host then made the blunder again as he misgendered panellist Shivani Dave, who also goes they/them.

“I am so sorry. I will learn to do that,” Madeley said, apologising for the second time.

Madeley has been co-presenting GMB with Reid following Morgan’s exit, along with a number of male co-hosts, including Robert Rinder and Ben Shephard.
