Celebrities and designers mingled at Selfridges last night for the launch party of Project Pep, a new line of Jimmy Choo shoes and accessories aimed at raising money for rape victims in South Africa.

Among those present were film director Guy Ritchie, socialite Diane Jenkins, designer Melissa Odabash, Claudia Winkleman — presenter of Strictly offshoot It Takes Two — and Harold Tillman, the owner of Jaeger.

Devised by Jimmy Choo boss Tamara Mellon and Sir Elton John, a quarter of profits from Project Pep sales will help fund a centre in Cape Town, where rape victims exposed to HIV are given anti-retroviral drugs to stop the virus developing.
