Unhealthy: Amy Winehouse's skin looked painfully scabbed as she left her home to attend her husband's trial

Troubled star Amy Winehouse had visibly spruced herself up to support her husband in court today, but was unable to hide the evidence of an unhealthy lifestyle.

At first glance Amy was every inch the presentable wife as she left her north London home to attend Blake Fielder-Civil's trial, but her skin told a different story.

Despite swapping her usual scruffy clothes for a smart blue dress, her heavy make-up could not disguise her shockingly raw and inflamed skin.

As well as the scabs on her face, Amy's arms appeared to be covered in red scratches.

Today the singer spent more than an hour at Snaresbrook Crown Court, east London supporting her husband Blake  who faces charges of assault and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

Winehouse left the court after 80 minutes. Outside the court, she was asked: 'How's Blake looking?'

She replied: 'As gorgeous as f ***. You seen him before?'

Fielder-Civil, 26, of Jeffrey's Place, Camden, north London denies causing grievous bodily harm with intent to pub landlord James King of The White House, Risley Hall, Risley, Derbyshire.

He also denies an allegation that he conspired with his alleged victim to pervert the course of justice.

James Kennedy, 19, of Hatfield, Hertfordshire, is also accused over the case.

The legal argument is taking place ahead of an expected trial.
