After the cold, wind and hail of Ulster, Danny craves the comforts of home

In the Euro zone: Care is hoping to prolong Quins’ European adventure

Danny Care has vowed to put the "worst experience" of his life behind him and help Harlequins secure a home quarter final by beating Scarlets tomorrow.

Quins slipped to defeat in atrocious conditions against Ulster in Belfast last Saturday but were dealt a huge favour by the Scarlets' surprise win over Stade Francais 24 hours later.

That meant Quins claimed their first quarter final place in 11 years, but they need a bonus point win at the Stoop tomorrow to avoid a possible trip to holders Munster in the next round.

"Last week was the worst experience of my life," Care said. "I have never felt so cold and miserable. The wind, and hail was hitting you. We'd have preferred to have gone through by winning but Llanelli did us a favour. We need to put things right against them.

"We want to get that home quarter final so we need to gain as many points as possible. We'll be going for the bonus point."

Quins drew 50,000 fans when they moved last month's Premiership clash with Leicester to Twickenham and Care would be more than happy to repeat the experiment if they do win tomorrow.

"It would be great for the club to get a home quarter final," he said. "We'd love to play it at the Stoop or over the road, wherever the club decide to do it. It would be great to play in front of as many people as possible at Twickenham."
