Andy Murray makes move on coaches

13 April 2012

Andy Murray today said he wasn't panicking over his poor form and revealed he has finally agreed to use the adidas team of world-class coaches before appointing a full-time coach.

The world No4 has not won a set since losing to Novak Djokovic in the Australian Open Final in January. Murray parted company with his part-time coach Alex Corretja last month and has now decided to use the coaches adidas offer to their top players.

It means Murray will use Darren Cahill, who coached Andre Agassi and Lleyton Hewitt, and Sven Groeneveld, who worked with Andy Roddick for now. This arrangement will continue until he chooses a full-time coach who will be expected to spend up to 30 weeks a year with him on Tour.

Murray revealed his plans in London today where he confirmed he would take part in the AEGON Championships at Queen's Club in June. He said: "I am getting myself in shape and my form will come back. I am not worried."
