Title ambition: Andy Murray will be hoping to take his recent good form into next week's US Open
13 April 2012

Andy Murray has been seeded fourth for next week's US Open in New York.

World No1 Rafael Nadal is top seed for the only Grand Slam title to have eluded him so far while five-times champion Federer is the second seed, ahead of Novak Djokovic.

World No1 Serena Williams has failed to recover from a nasty cut to her foot which means Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki, winner of the Montreal tournament at the weekend, is the top women's seed.

Four British women - Laura Robson, Katie O'Brien, Naomi Cavaday and US Open girls' champion Heather Watson - are battling to qualify. Robson faces Jelena Dokic, O'Brien takes on Lesya Tsurenko, Cavaday plays Julia Cohen and Watson is up against Lourdes Dominguez Lino.
