The Diamond League will return to London Stadium in 2023 as the world’s top athletes and para athletes head to the capital.

The July event takes place in the lead-up to the World Athletics Championships in August of next year, and following the success of this summer’s Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

Not since 2019 has the Diamond League taken place in London following the 2012 Olympics and 2017 World Athletics Championships.

Tickets will go on sale to priority fans from 10am on Friday, August 12 before a general sale release next week.

Graham Gilmore, CEO of London Stadium, said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome athletics back to the Stadium next summer, with the Diamond League sitting alongside our world-class calendar of events for 2023.

“In addition, the activities planned across the weekend of this prestigious meet will engage the whole community across Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, as we continue to deliver on the legacy of the 2012 Games.”
