Pep Guardiola will hope to improve Barcelona's fortunes next season

Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola today refused to rule out making offers for Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor and Chelsea’s Didier Drogba.

Both players have been strongly linked with a summer move to the club after becoming unsettled.

'Barcelona are always interested in good players,' Guardiola said when asked about the pair after last night’s 6-0 friendly win over Hibernian.

'Those players are interesting but so are many others in Europe.'

Meanwhile, Arsenal have been alerted to the availability of Portugal international Miguel Veloso, who claims he would welcome a move to the Premier League.

The 22-year-old plays in defensive midfield for Sporting Lisbon and could be a replacement for Mathieu Flamini who has joined AC Milan.

Veloso’s agent says his player 'would be open to offers'.
