Battling Simon Jones is lifted by watching Ashes heroics

Simon Jones says watching DVDs of England's 2005 Ashes triumph spurs him on as he begins his latest battle to regain fitness.

The 30-year-old has not played a Test match since that series and has been frequently dogged by a series of knee problems.

The Worcestershire paceman, who will be sidelined until June after undergoing a cartilage operation, said: "Looking at the 2005 Ashes does help a hell of a lot. It keeps you going, thinking of the good times. That whole summer was immense."
