Bike fans are kept waiting

The British Grand Prix has been put back two weeks by motorcycling's governing body, the FIM.

The Donington Park round of the MotoGP world championship had been due to take place on 11 July but that has now been switched to 25 July, meaning the Brazilian leg has been moved to 4 July.

Today's announcement avoids a clash with Silverstone's Formula One Grand Prix which was moved following problems with the French F1 race.
