Boateng makes Portsmouth switch

12 April 2012

Portsmouth have agreed a fee with Tottenham to sign midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng.

The deal is yet to be finalised and is though to be worth around £4million.

Spurs midfielder Jamie O'Hara is also joining manager Harry Redknapp's former club on the south-coast in a loan deal until January.

Meanwhile, Pompey boss Paul Hart is intent on strengthening his defence following the captures of Watford forward Tommy Smith and Wigan midfielder Michael Brown.

He said: "I think I will have somebody (a defender) in but not for Sunday's game with Manchester City.

"I'm looking to bring in two at the back but one is more definite than the other.

"I have to bring some players in and if we get everyone we want, it will probably be more than we require.

"But given the position we've have been in, that would be a real comfort blanket to us."
