Brown accuses Fabregas of spitting

12 April 2012

Phil Brown has accused Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas of spitting at Hull assistant manager Brian Horton after the Gunners progressed to the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Tensions ran high at Emirates Stadium as the Gunners came from a goal down to win 2-1 courtesy of a goal from William Gallas who the Hull players felt was to be in an offside position. Fabregas was not in the Arsenal team but after the game Hull boss Brown said the midfielder was involved in an altercation with Horton.

Brown told Setanta Sports 1: "You know you're not going to get the rub of the green when you come to places like this but for their club captain, Cesc Fabregas, to spit at my assistant manager tells you what this club's about."
