Bradford have confirmed that hooker Heath L'Estrange will miss the rest of the season with a ruptured knee ligament.

The former Manly number nine suffered the injury while laying on a try for Andy Lynch during Sunday's draw with St Helens, and scans have revealed he has badly damaged his cnterior cruciate ligament.

The 26-year-old, who joined the Bulls in 2010, penned a new three-year contract last week.

"I really feel for Heath. He has been in great form for us and signed a new deal only last week," said coach Mick Potter.

"He is a thorough professional though and he will be back in the shortest possible time.

"He will get all the help he needs from the club throughout his rehabilitaion and his character will help him ovecome this injury and come back stronger."
