Calderwood to leave Wigan

12 April 2012

England winger Mark Calderwood has revealed he will be leaving Wigan at the end of the season.

The 26-year-old former Leeds player, who was left out of the Warriors side that lost 45-38 to Catalans on Saturday, is out of contract at the end of the season.

"My agent told me there won't be a new contract at Wigan next year," Calderwood told the Wigan Evening Post. "It's disappointing but has come as no great surprise and, now that the uncertainty is over, at least I can plan ahead long term."

Calderwood is expected to join Hull as a replacement for Australian winger Matt Sing, who is retiring at the end of this season.
