Chadwick completes Canaries switch

12 April 2012

Norwich have completed the £200,000 signing of winger Luke Chadwick from Stoke.

Chadwick, 26, had been on loan since November and enjoyed an eventful debut against Ipswich, opening the scoring before suffering a knee injury which has ruled him out of action since.

City boss Peter Grant told the club's official website, www.canaries.co.uk: "People saw on his debut what a good player he can be for us. He was the shining light for us that day and we also saw how good he was when he was in the Stoke side which beat us 5-0."

He added: "He's another player with great quality and will add to our squad. He wants to be successful and wants to be back playing in the Premier League with us."

Chadwick, who has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal at Carrow Road, will not be back in Canary colours, though, for another month.

Grant added: "He's still about four weeks away. Because of the nature of the gash and where it was it's been a problem for him.

"He has not been able to flex his knee and work on his leg so we've got to watch his muscles and build him up gradually."
