England fell to the most dispiriting defeat of the series as Australia successfully chased the 231 runs needed in their final innings for the loss of just two wickets.

The tourists spurned two catching chances early on and ultimately allowed Australia to make light work of what was the highest successful fourth innings chase at the MCG for 50 years. Stephen Brenkley and Tom Collomosse discuss the fourth day's play as a selection of England players look ahead to the final Test fighting for their place in the side.
