We don’t fear our rivals at all, says Tim Bresnan

England's confidence is so high that Tim Bresnan has described them as fearless as they prepare to face Sri Lanka in the semi-final of the World Twenty20 tomorrow.

Paul Collingwood's side have flourished in a perfect Super Eight campaign, which ensured they avoided fellow group winners Australia in the last four.

Sri Lanka, meanwhile, only secured their clash in St Lucia after beating India last night thanks to Chamara Kapugedera hitting a six on the final ball of the match.

All-rounder Bresnan said: "If we keep playing the brand of cricket we can play, it doesn't really matter who we play against," he said. "We'll have respect for the opposition but we won't be scared of anyone."

Bresnan has been trusted by Collingwood and coach Andy Flower with new-ball and death bowling and a potentially pivotal batting position of No7. He is relishing the responsibility as just one component in a hugely-talented Twenty20 team.

"We're quite smart as a bowling group and getting smarter all the time," he added.
