Worcester have announced the signing of former Bath centre Alex Crockett on a two-year contract.

Crockett finished the current campaign on loan with Bristol, having served a lengthy Rugby Football Union ban.

Three ex-Bath players - Crockett, Michael Lipman and Andrew Higgins - each received nine-month suspensions last summer after refusing a request by the Bath club to take drug tests as part of their probe into events at an end-of-season party in London.

England international flanker Lipman is now with new Super 15 franchise Melbourne Rebels, while wing Higgins recently joined Guinness Premiership newcomers Exeter.

Crockett, 28, will move to the Warriors ahead of their Championship campaign next term.

Worcester head coach Richard Hill said: "I have known Alex for a long time and have followed his career. From a very young age he showed great talent.

"He is a very talented, intelligent rugby player who will be a great asset to the club."
