Dunn warns the Oxford crew

13 April 2012

Cambridge oarsman Richard Dunn is targeting Olympic glory in Athens in 2004 - but first he has some old scores to settle with Oxford on the Thames this weekend.

Dunn was the ninth man in Britain's gold medal winning eight at the Sydney Olympics but is now part of Cambridge's bid to retain the Boat Race title.

The 22-year-old has looked on in anguish as students from Oxford won the Varsity Match at Twickenham and took the spoils in the sculling at Henley.

He now sees the 148th Boat Race as the opportunity to snatch back some glory.

He said: "This is payback time. After winning all the other events over the last year, they are not going to win the big one."
