Ecclestone warning for Ferrari

13 April 2012

Formula One chief Bernie Ecclestone warned Ferrari today not to repeat their manipulation of the result in Austria at this weekend's Monaco Grand Prix.

Ecclestone said the way Ferrari ordered Rubens Barrichello to move over for Michael Schumacher at the A1-Ring a fortnight ago was not good for the sport.

"They did not break the rules but I think they would be illadvised to do anything similar in the future unless it was the last race to decide the title," he said.

Ferrari officials and both drivers have to appear before the sport's governing body, FIA, next month and Schumacher could lose the points he won in Austria.
