England on top as Bell hits century

Ian Bell reached his century on a productive second morning for England in the first npower Test against South Africa at Lord's.

Following Kevin Pietersen's heroics with the bat on Thursday, it was Bell's turn to celebrate three figures with a shot through the off side.

Pietersen (146 not out) was still there at the other end, helping England progress to 388 for three midway through the session.
