Tough test: Uruguay's Cristian Rodriguez wears the World Cup kit from Puma

Uruguay winger Cristian Rodriguez thinks Group D, which includes his country, England, Italy and Costa Rica, will be the toughest at this summer’s World Cup.

Each major tournament has its so-called “Group of Death”, with many selecting Group G – including Germany, Portugal, USA and Ghana – as the toughest to progress from at this tournament in Brazil.

However Rodriguez, who has made 62 caps for the national side, thinks that his group will be the most challenging.

Speaking at the launch of Uruguay’s World Cup kit from Puma, Rodriguez said: “It’s the toughest group in the World Cup for me.

“There are three Champions in our group: England, Uruguay and Italy. And Costa Rica as well, who are playing really well, they’re used to the heat.”

Uruguay will be looking to build on the Copa America in 2013, a tournament which they won for the 15 time.

Cristian Rodriguez will wear the new Uruguay World Cup kit by PUMA, available from Kitbag.com from Wednesday March 5th. For more information on PUMA's national kit sponsorships and evoPOWER and evoSPEED boot ranges head to http://puma.com/football
