Dougie Freedman insists free agent Nigel Reo-Coker is not joining Crystal Palace.

The former West Ham midfielder was this week linked with a move to Selhurst Park but Freedman (above) said: “It’s not true and there have been no discussions. I’ve not met him or spoken to him.”

And who needs Reo-Coker? Palace, who entertain Burnley tomorrow, have beaten Wolves and Bolton away in the past week and, after losing their opening three Championship games, are now just outside the play-offs.

Bees are hit and miss, miss

BRENTFORD will want to improve their wayward finishing when they entertain Crawley Town in League One tomorrow.

Manager Uwe Rosler’s side have missed the target 85 times this season, more than any other team in the third tier. Brentford’s main offender is striker Clayton Donaldson, who has failed to hit the target with 18 of his 32 attempts.

Only way is up for Robson

BARNET travel to Southend tomorrow still looking for their first win of the season. The Football League’s bottom club have taken just two points from their opening 10 games but manager Mark Robson insists he is the right man for the job.
