AFC Wimbledon supporters allegedly caused more than £10,000 worth of damage during their FA Cup match with MK Dons.

Photos of broken toilets and seats have emerged following the third round clash between the two sides last weekend.

A spokesman for MK Dons said: "Unfortunately a small minority of away fans caused some damage to the supporters' seating, toilet and refreshment facilities in the North Stand.

"While we are extremely disappointed with the damage caused, it should not deflect from the thousands of football fans who behaved impeccably and enjoyed the newest rivalry in football in good spirit."

The spokesman added both clubs were in contact over the cost of repairs and how they will be paid.

AFC Wimbledon described reports of the damage as 'rumours', adding: "We do not comment on rumours but we point you to our fans' excellent reputation for good behaviour."

The match was won 2-1 with a last-minute goal from MK Dons' Jon Otsemobor.

During the match, both sets of fans entered the pitch to celebrate when their side scored and earlier this week the Football Association were urged to be lenient over the pitch invasions that marred the grudge match.
