Alan Pardew has admitted Crystal Palace are still in of 'a bit more going forward', despite the arrival of Emmanuel Adebayor.

The south Londoners have not won a Premier League game since mid-December but finally ended a run of five consecutive defeats courtesy of a 1-1 draw against Swansea this afternoon.

Gylfi Sigurdsson's sensational free-kick put the Welsh club in front after Adebayor hauled down the Iceland international on the edge of the penalty area but Scott Dann replied in the second half.

A respectable point at the Liberty Stadium was enough to keep Palace in 12th place but Pardew fears that his side do not have enough fire power in their ranks to compete at Premier League level.

"We still look a bit like we need a bit more going forward at this level," the Palace boss told BBC Sport.

"[Emmanuel] Adebayor had a couple of moments that were top-drawer, you can see that he's going to add something."

Connor Wickham remains the only Palace forward to find the net in England's top tier this term and the Eagles will hope Adebayor can find his feet quickly to help ensure a season that initially promised so much for Palace does not fizzle out.

Swansea are now unbeaten in four top-flight games and Pardew was proud of the manner in which his team stuck to their task despite, despite falling behind to Francesco Guidolin's side.

"The point today is so important. We knew we had to get something today, so that was a very good result.

"It was really tough, with a lot of energy and a lot of commitment from both teams.

"Swansea have been in good form and we came back, which makes it all the sweeter.

"There's a bit of relief on our side and we take that into the Watford game," he added.
