Angelo Ogbonna insists West Ham are not scared of facing Manchester City this weekend despite slumping to 2-1 defeat at relegation-threatened Newcastle.

City thrashed Crystal Palace 4-0 on Saturday to close within one point of Premier League leaders Arsenal while the Hammers lost ground on the top four places.

It was the Hammers first defeat in 10 matches but Slaven Bilic’s side beat City when the sides met in September and Ogbonna said: “It will be a tough game against City. We are disappointed but we are not afraid of them.

"Newcastle were good but we have to think of ourselves and we lost because we didn't bring our game here. We needed to be much more powerful than that.”
